Enzian Schematics Released

While it is possible to regenerate the schematics from the CAD files, we want to allow users to easily access the detailed schematics of the entire Enzian system. The complete board schematics for Enzian revision 1.5c have now been released.

The tar ball contains three PDFs

  1. SCH-Enzian-LT1764A_Patch-Default.PDF
  2. SCH-Enzian-Mainboard-Default.PDF
  3. SCH-Enzian-QSFP_PCB-Default.PDF

The Patch (1) is a patch PCB that was used to fix a mistake in the 1.5c board which prevented an important voltage regulator from operating correctly. The second PDF is the main Enzian motherboard, 121 pages and 72 MB of all the components found on the Enzian motherboard. Every resistor, capacitor, and chip is shown and it’s (sort of) searchable. Finally, the last PDF contains the QSFP daughter card that contains all 6 QSFP ports (2 on CPU and 4 for FPGA).

We hope this schematic is useful for working with Enzian, but also interesting from a design perspective. As far as we know, this is the only 2-socket motherboard with completely open source schematics and CAD files.

As always, if you’re interested in working with Enzian, please reach out to us! We’re always looking for collaborations.

If you’d like to cite the Enzian Schematics, please use the following BIBTEX entry.
